Teacher as Researcher
In my research class, I learned the process of creating an action research project. Before deciding on a research question I looked at other practices that work to accelerate student learning by looking at the effect size. Feedback has a high effect size, out of 150 influences, it is ranked number ten. I chose to use a strategy that would empower my students to understand a rubric in which they could self-assess and peer assess. Students could give immediate feedback to one another before getting feedback from the teacher.
